Tell me something good...

It is very heartening to know that we are all still able to appreciate the simple things in life. I sent out an email asking people to tell me something good that made them smile. Most of the responses made mention of the little things, moments we often take for granted. It's pretty amazing that no matter how young or old we are, it's always the little things that matter the most.

Summer

What are your favorite summertime activities? Things that you look forward to all year long. What are your favorite places to go? Foods to eat? Things to see? Annual traditions?

Not sure how we do it

Not sure how we do it. Get through a day, when from sunup to sundown you are busy. Makes you realize the strength and resiliency of people when motivated to do something. I think we all take for granted our strength of character, the strength of others. Is it because we don't see it, recognize it? Or is it that we take it for granted? A bit of both I think.

Every passing day

Every passing day represents the opportunity to start anew with a fresh perspective on life. It's like the secret gift under the Christmas tree that no one seems to know about. Just as soon as you see it, you tear it open to learn what is inside. The trick to it is to remember that a new day is just around the corner. You know?

What do you wonder about?

Sometimes, the weight of the world seems to rest on my shoulders. Not because it has to, but because I am a worrier. I worry about everything - some validly so, other times out of left field. I know that things will work themselves out eventually, but it is so hard to even breathe at times.
